In which I am groped.

After a bout of emailing that stressed many of our computers' infrastructures (Okay. Not that weird. If we had actually wanted to talk to each other it would have been one conversation.), had lunch with people today, which was massive amounts of fun.

I'm pretty sure Keelin is emotionally scarred, Kim is over all of us, and Derrick grabbed my boob and my thigh. This may disturb me/creep me out were he not a member of the Princess Tiara Club or something (his words, not mine).

So yeah, very good times.

One day we shall rule the world. And it shall be sweet.

And the reason he was on my thigh was he was admiring my kick-ass knee high boots. My stripper boots. I love them.

So it appears that the women in my family adore the (C)Kates. Colleen would have Cate Blanchett's babies if it were not a biological impossibility (She's not a lesbian. But she does love her Cate.), and I'm hopelessly devoted to Kate Winslet.

No, really. If I wasn't cheap, I'd rent Little Children from Blockbuster. But I am, and, well, she's not Johnny Depp, so my fandom will have to be slightly less complete.

But she was on The View yesterday, and she mentioned that she was now pitching Lancome's Tresor perfume.

And now I'm thinking about ordering it from amazon.com.

Because she's that awesome.

I'm also looking for a signature fragrance. But that's a whole other story.

So you know that test that put me into seizures on Monday? (Which one, you ask. Ha! Funny. Make fun of my neuroses.)

Okay, I'm not saying this for sure, because I really don't know.

But I may have gotten an 89%.

Maybe. For some reason, the super-secret code you have to come up with so no one will be able to tell your sad little grade belongs to your sad little self isn't listed, but there's the same number without a 0 at the beginning. Whoever had that number? Was .7% away from an A.

So either it's me and I ROCK, or it's not and THAT PERSON IS AMAZING.

Not quite as amazing as the person who got a 103.3%, but I'm pretty sure that was the professor taking it just to blow the curve.

He'd do that.

So someone called in a bomb threat to campus today.

And I'm really wondering why I've gotten sixteen e-mails about the business school's etiquette dinner, and I had to hear this on the news.

Also? Kinda hoping my class tomorrow in the building next door is cancelled. Please?

Dear Dr. *Name Removed To Protect Your Pathetic Privacy*

I have not had a really good day.

Really not.

And I'd really like to know whether I'm failing on top of everything else.

Is that too much to ask?

I don't think so.

That's all.

Well, she'd have to be, wouldn't she???

Sorry. I've been thinking about Snowcake.

Two things that are of massive importance in my pitiful little life right now---

1.) McDonald's iced coffee is Sent From God As An Apology For Letting The Protestants Take Over. It is teh awesome, and only $2.10 for a large (half the price of a comperable Starbucks drink). I've had like forty-five ounces today, and I am now literally bouncing with glee.

2.) I made the Dean's Honor List. Rock on, 4.0 achieved while pretending to work, rock on.

In five years when I'm still making people coffee, I'm going to look back on this and be so proud.

What else to talk about? Hmmm.

Ooh, went out for coffee yesterday with the Empress and Mom, to the brand-new Alterra. Lovely, but I'm starting to miss our Cedarburg place where we would always go for fun. Smith Bros was better, too.

Took some pictures of the inside of Larry. Damn, Larry is huge on the inside.

The Empress had taken a shine to our griddle. She loves the griddle. She started with pancakes, and now she pretty much refuses to eath anything if it isn't griddled.
Apparently, we'll give the crown to any old crazy here in Squishistan.

It's literally raining and pouring right now, which I absolutely adore. I lvoe thunderstorms. They are amazing. I'd be very happy living in place where it just thunderstorms all the freaking time. Especially if it didn't get too hot. So basically I have to move to the United Kingdom.
I've got to go. Those episodes of Will and Grace aren't going to watch themselves.

Now we're being followed by rocks. Never heard that before.

I have a 4.0 GPA. And Jack the Monkey is pleased for me.

Probably a good thing that exams finished up the week before Pirates, because my mind has been kind of preoccupied with nothing but Piratey goodness since then, and I'm pretty sure that prior restraint, existential generalization, and the Hundred Years War would have been WAY more confusing when I was just imagining what kind of cocktails we'd serve at my wedding to Jack Davenport...

*ahem* Crazy over.

Piratey goodness is slightly more interesting than my actual life, where I'm being forced to undergo forty hours of training for a job that I've repeatedly refused to do. Eh. At least it's paid.

Also, I have no added "That my manager ordered the Kama Sutra Pop-Up book (so many jokes, so little time)" to my list of things that I NEVER NEEDED TO KNOW THANK YOU VERY MUCH. *shivers*

I'm really hungry. I think I'm going to go make some pasta to put the chicken parmesan on. Bye bye.

Hey, don't tell your mom, but I bought you guys some presents. Like the gift of God's love? No, dude, *real* presents!

Hehe. How I Met Your Mother.

So I'm having an excellent day, y'all, and favoring you with a post. So many wonderful, blessed events have occurred, an d it's only 1 o'clock in the afternoon.

One, got to sleep in (yay!!!). Being at work at seven on Saturday, and then having to be up, dressed, and high-heeled by eight-thirty for Mass the past few days has *really* wiped me out.

Two, went to Best Buy to return my superfluous copy of The History of Violence (yay--I got it them!!! *does happy dances*) and bought Friends With Money, which, contrary to what the salesperson told Imladris on Saturday, they totally had and was even facing forward in it's own little display. *sniff* Also got a Van Gogh calender from Borders at half off---whee!!! It was the only one left and not sitting in the place I hid it during work on Saturday (what??? Everybody hides stuff they want until it's on sale.) but I found it and clearly God wanted me to have it.

Three, came home and balanced my checkbook which I've kind of been neglecting for awhile because I've been using my debit card a lot and the fast and easy "just swipe it and put in your PIN" loses something when you have to pull out your checkbook to write the balance down. Usually I do it when I get home, but that's a lot of work. Fortunately, realized that once I return the DVD player I bought that is now rendered completely useless thanks to Mickey and the God's of free DVD players with obscenely expensive but oh-so-pretty HD TVs, I'll have way more money than I thought. Whee!!! Also, I won't have to actually spend any of the money for about six months, as the vast majority of my gifts this year were of the card variety---just how I like them. But we'll get to that later.

Finally, I was bumming around UWM's website totally not using the student directory to find out where hot guys from my classes live and figured I'd check and see if any of my grades are up---and some actually were. I did *way* better than I was figuring halfway through the semester (not that I had any real clue, because we don't get midterm grades). I got a 98% in psych (See!!! I was thinking about more than what to name my kids with the Hot TA---btw, Ada doesn't work. She'd just sound like a 90-year-old Jewish woman), an A in math, quite possibly the best grade I've gotten on anything remotely related to math since middle school, an A- in geography (I was .05% away from an A---what the hell!?!?!?!) and probably a B+ in French. Which, while not being a phenomenal grade by my own standards, sure as hell beats the C I was expecting.

So I'm in a really good mood.

Also in a good mood because I got BLEAK HOUSE!!!! WHEE!!!!!!!!!! I have 475 minutes of BBC/Dickens goodness at my disposal all the freakin' time!!! I was kind of worried, because I didn't see any package that looked like the right size and I was thinking, "How could she have not gotten it? I said it was the best thing to happen to me this year! I did everything but order it myself!!! GAH!!!", but I did get it and how I'm very pleased.

Also got some lovely DVDs- some the same DVD, thank you all, I adore them-(Thank You For Smoking!!!YAY!!!), a book about a schizophrenic Greek princess, some post-cards to put up on my bulletin board, and bunches of gift cards to all of my favorite places. My wallet will barely close, but I don't care. I love them. *squee*

But Mickey went a teensy bit crazy and started giving me gifts that were addressed to different people, but they were all me (Lupe, Ad manager, etc.). I was kind of surprised there wasn't one to The Blond in the Corner Trying to Keep Her Skirt In a Decent Position Whilst Being Banished To the Floor Once Again.

Also, all hail the Holy Pumps (sister to the Holy Slingbacks)...

Aren't they lovely??? I love them. They are my squishy.

Colleen got a Baby Mumble doll that dances, and she is entertained immensely by it.

And of couse, dinner by Culinarily Gifted Spawn of Mickey was fantastic, even if I kind of didn't understand what I was eating. I think that's okay, frankly, because it was lovley just the same.

So I'm going to go eat leftovers of pumpkind pie and then probably fall asleep watching a DVD. Oh, it's gonna be a good vacation...
