Taking some time out...
...from looking at terminal PhD programs to die laughing at this. Flesh storm? I literally choked on my water when I saw that.

It is good that you can still laugh - even while searching for those PhD programs... I'm so glad that your meeting with Erin was so helpful - she really is a very nice person and we are very fortunate that we met her and she is willing to give you a little moral support and information --- kind of like a little gift from Grandpa to help you with your future (not that you ever worry about that or anything...)
